How did it all started ?

Hi my name is Vaneska and I’ve been collecting natural history treasures since my early youth. At the age of 6 I collected my first rock specimen, and haven't stopped since then. I’ve travelled to many locations, digging for the best fossils andcrystal specimens.

At the age of 18 I left home to go study geology, and began collecting  taxidermy and skulls. I always loved  Rococo Victorian and Gothic art. In 2013, and as a student, I createdTOCB to help pay for my education, and I fell completely in love with the art of nature. I finished my studies in geology and moved to Montreal where we opened our first location, by appointment. We did a lot of interior design for restaurants, movie sets and fulfilled custom orders for some pretty big named artists.

When Covid hit, we had to close our first location, and we moved to a smaller space, where we're currently open on appointment. We're currently working on funding our first museum/workshop/store with all the best zoo sourced taxidermy specimens & anthropological oddities from local auction houses.

Thanks to all of you for your support. I'm looking forward to sharing my passion for art and the natural world for many years to come, and hope we can all inspire the younger generation to learn about science.
